4 of 6 checks passed

Lore passes the technical basics: AI engines can read the site, structured data is in place, and pages load without JavaScript. But none of the nine tested buyer questions name Lore in ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini answers, and only one page uses a question-style heading. Fixing this means publishing pages that answer the exact questions buyers ask about getting found in AI, then earning mentions on the directories, agencies lists and publications AI already cites when answering those questions.

What's holding us back

Pages answer buyer questions directly

Across the three sampled pages (home, pricing, about), only one question-style heading appears. The pages explain what Lore does and how it works, but they don't structure content as direct answers to the questions buyers type into search or AI.

Why it matters: AI engines favor pages that answer questions explicitly. When a buyer asks how to get mentioned in AI answers, a page titled 'How do I get my company mentioned in AI answers' with a clear answer paragraph ranks higher in retrieval than a page titled 'How we are different'.

AI engines name you for buyer questions

Lore was named in zero of nine AI answers tested across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. The questions tested were 'What's the best agency to get my B2B company recommended by ChatGPT', 'How do I get my company mentioned in AI answers like ChatGPT and Perplexity', and 'Who are the top generative engine optimization agencies for startups'.

Why it matters: These are the questions your buyers ask before they find your site. If Lore isn't in the answer, the buyer books a call with a competitor or tries to solve it themselves.

The fix list, in order

  1. 1. Publish pages answering the three tested buyer questions

AI engines cited pages that directly answered these questions, and Lore's site doesn't have them yet.

    • Create a page titled 'How do I get my company mentioned in AI answers like ChatGPT and Perplexity' with a 200-word answer in the opening paragraph covering entity clarity, content quality, third-party mentions and technical setup.
    • Create a page titled 'What's the best agency to get my B2B company recommended by ChatGPT' with a 200-word answer explaining what to look for: proof of AI visibility results, in-house work vs outsourcing, B2B category experience, and how to evaluate claims.
    • Create a page titled 'Who are the top generative engine optimization agencies for startups' with a 200-word answer covering how to evaluate GEO agencies, what questions to ask, and what results to expect in the first 90 days.
    • Use the exact question as the H1, write the answer in plain language a founder understands on first read, and add 500 more words expanding on the answer with examples from Lore's own work.
    • Add structured data FAQPage schema to each page with the question and answer.

How we'll know it's done: Search 'site:lorebuilders.com how do I get my company mentioned in AI answers' in Google and confirm the page appears; check that Perplexity cites the page when asked the question.

    Effort: a few days

  2. 2. Get listed on the agency directories AI already cites

    Perplexity cited avenuez.com, blogs.listablelabs.com, concurate.com, derivatex.agency, eintelligenceweb.com, gotcatalyst.com, respona.com, visibilitystack.ai, beomniscient.com, elsner.com, generatemore.ai, gofishdigital.com, infrasity.com, minuttia.com, omnius.so, relevance.com, thriveagency.com and tripledart.com when answering the agency question, and none of those mention Lore.

    • Visit each of the 18 cited domains and identify which ones are agency directories, listicles or comparison sites rather than competitors.
    • For each directory or list, find the submission or listing process (usually a 'Submit your agency' or 'Get listed' link).
    • Submit Lore with a consistent description: 'Lore gets startups found in AI answers and Google search. Human-edited content, earned links, technical fixes. In-house work, no outsourcing.'
    • Track which sites accept the listing and set a calendar reminder to check for inclusion in 30 days.

How we'll know it's done: Search 'site:avenuez.com lore' in Google or visit the directory's agency list page to confirm Lore appears.

    Effort: half a day

  3. 3. Add five more question-style H2s to existing pages

AI engines parse headings to decide if a page answers a query, and only one question heading exists across the three sampled pages.

    • On the home page, change 'Buyers ask AI before they ask you' to 'Why do buyers ask AI before they ask you?', then add a 150-word paragraph answering it.
    • On the pricing page, change 'What this costs elsewhere' to 'What does AI search optimization cost at other agencies?' and expand the comparison table with a 100-word summary.
    • On the about page, change 'Why Lore exists' to 'Why does Lore exist?' (keep the content the same).
    • Add two new H2s to the home page: 'How long does it take to get named in AI answers?' and 'What questions do buyers ask AI about my category?'.

How we'll know it's done: View source on each page and confirm the H2 tags contain the full question with a question mark.

    Effort: under an hour

  4. 4. Publish a case study showing before and after AI visibility

Gemini and ChatGPT cited agencies that showed measurement and results, and Lore's site mentions results but doesn't show the evidence.

    • Pick one Engine client where you have permission to share the company name and category.
    • Document the questions you targeted, show the AI answers before Lore (with screenshots showing the client wasn't named) and after (with screenshots showing they were).
    • Write a 1000-word case study page titled 'Case study: how [client name] got named in ChatGPT answers for [category] in 90 days' with sections for the challenge, the questions, the work, the results and what the client says.
    • Add structured data Article schema with the client name, before and after dates, and results as key properties.

How we'll know it's done: Search 'site:lorebuilders.com case study' in Google and confirm the page appears; check that the screenshots load and the client quote is visible.

    Effort: a few days

  5. 5. Get into the guides AI cites on getting mentioned

Perplexity cited these eight domains when answering how to get mentioned in AI answers, and none of them mention Lore.

    • Visit each domain and identify if it's a publication, directory, tool site or community (starfishco.com, dreamhost.com, seo.com and surferseo.com are likely blogs; linkedin.com is social; the others need checking).
    • For blogs and publications, find their contributor guidelines or pitch process and propose an article on AI search optimization for B2B startups (offer to write it or co-author with their team).
    • For LinkedIn, publish three posts over three weeks showing specific before-and-after examples of clients getting named in AI answers (use screenshots, tag relevant people, use hashtags like AISearch and GEO).
    • For directories and tools, follow their listing or integration process.

How we'll know it's done: Search 'site:starfishco.com lore' or 'site:dreamhost.com lore' in Google to confirm the mention appears.

    Effort: a few days
